Is there a form or outline for writing grants?
I know as a woman, I am a eligible for grants.

Real info is needed, not just somes sales tool.

All of our schools need to save that 35% on electricity, so the extra money spent on the power bill can be put back in for our children and grandchildren instead of the pockets of corporate America.

I also need a grant to purchase meter maids and install them in low income homes.

Many cities give away fans and smoke detectors, why can I not give away meter maids? Saving on the electric power will ease the financial burden of many families.

There are many months, my family goes without nourishing food, do not purchase meds, live in the dark, freeze or swelter in the heat to pay the power bill.

I want to make a change for my community and yours.

Help me learn to write grants!

Well... the best recommendation I can make (having been a librarian for 5 years but now self-employed and loving it MUCH more) is to contact your local library, try to find the number to your county's Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) and get connected with them. They are state and federal funded, and their existence is based on how many businesses and people looking for grants they help.

If you're an artist, you might want to call a few non-profit galleries and see if they have a version of SBRC for that crowd.

Outside of that, I suppose Borders or Barnes & Noble might be an option, the yearly books come out around September or October but keep in mind they're about $45-55 but usually they have grants all over the U.S. Hope this helps, keep us updated and if you find something that I missed, let me know! -N

Thank you! This information is very useful!

Since posting this discussion, I sent an email off to all my state representatives. Yesterday, I had a very fruitful call from Senator Roger Wicker's assistant in Washington, DC!

I am extremely pleased to know they actually read the communications that come into the office!

We are to schedule time to work together, next week.

As this progresses, I will send you updates!

No matter how your power is generated....solar, wind or the power company...you can save the amount you use and help the motors of your appliances, etc work more effeciently with our power saver.

My goal is to get this product in the schools and homes of the low income families to save half of their electric bill. This will feed a lot of money back into the places where it is so desperately needed!

Awesome! Yes, it is good to see some of our "representatives" actually doing their jobs... sometimes it does feel like we mortals are insignificant, but it's the little things in life that make us so important. Good luck on your meeting! -Nick www.TarotToGo.net
